About Us

Community Partners In Change (CPIC) is offering a series of monthly one day (3.5 hours) interactive trainings for Community and Faith Based Organizations, Community stakeholders and Community Organizational partners/residents. These trainings will teach attendees how to identify their community needs and values, interact collaboratively, advocate for their community initiatives and manage projects.

NEEDS BASED ASSESSMENT

  

Research reveals that the community is more effective, safer and secure when community residents are organized, trained and have high capacity. The mission of  the  Community Partners in Change (CPIC) , Community Leadership Capacity Building Training is to provide leadership training and capacity building opportunities for Community Based Organizations,  Community Advisory Boards (CAB) Community Stakeholder members/Community residents and Community Partners  to enhance their ability to create, develop and implement the delivery of sponsored community based initiatives to children, families and their communities.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

  

o Community residents living in the areas who wish to actively participate in supporting Community Based initiatives

o Active and potential  Community Advisory Board members

o Parents who have participated in Parent Cafes and related parent/community engagement i.e. Strengthening Families. 

o Parents with children in the school system who wish to support community based initiatives.

o Community leadership from DHS sponsored programs including SCOP (Supporting Community Outreach program, (Parents/Caregivers -Philadelphia Youth Leadership Council, Girls and Boys Track programs.

o Community leadership seeking to address the needs and challenges their communities within the  boundaries.
